Password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller is a simple project where a secure password will not enough to act as a door unlocking system since any body can use the password and open the door. Password based door locking system. User can change this password anytime he she wish using a keypad. This controller requires a supply voltage of 5v dc.

If the code matches the predefined hard coded code lock will open up and user can enter the room. We type the password using keypad which is attached with the system. Predefined hard coded password is downloaded in the code. These techniques are an integration of mechanical and electronic devices and highly intelligent.

It is a simple embedded system with input from the keyboard and the output being actuated accordingly. Password based door lock circuit design uses five major components a microcontroller a relay a dc motor a 4 3 matrix keypad and a lcd. The main concept behind this project is a door latch opening using a password entered through the keypad. If password does not match door remains closed and a message wrong password access denied is displayed on lcd.

Here we are using a 4x4 keypad which has 16 keys. Working of password based door locking system with 8051 when power supply is turned on a message enter your password is displayed on lcd. Our digital code lock project is a simple electronic number lock system or an electronic combination lock using 8051 which has a preset 5 digit password stored inside the program the system collects 5 digit user input compares the user input with the preset password inside program and if the user input and stored password matches access will be granted by opening the door with the help of relay for a few seconds and closing it automatically after stipulated time. All the processing s will be done by 8051 microcontroller.

In this project i am going to design a simple automatic door lock system using 8051 89c51 89c52 microcontroller 16 2 lcd 4 4 numeric keypad and a digital lock. Password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller traditional lock systems using mechanical lock and key mechanism are being replaced by new advanced techniques of locking system. User have to enter the code. If we want to use 16 keys then we need 16 pin for connection to 89s52 but in multiplexing technique we need to use only 8 pins for interfacing 16 keys.
